Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber

ASTM Designation: HNBR

Standard Colour: Black

Description: HNBR is the modification of NBR rubber, where unsaturation has been removed in the main chain, to improve heat resistance, oil resistance along with other improvements.

Chemical Structure:
Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber Structure

Standard operating temperature Range: -50 OC to +160 OC

Hardness Range: 50 – 90 Shore A

Features:
  • Excellent resistance to hot oil and hot air
  • Excellent resistance to oxidative and ozone degradation
  • Excellent resistance to many oils, industrial chemicals, better than NBR.
  • Very good mechanical properties-tensile strength, abrasion resistance etc.

Applications:
  • Most of the applications of NBR, where working environment is more extreme.
